Patron Advocacy for Topeka's Media Dispenser

Wow, I don't know what I love best about this video...the fact that it is about the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library's media dispenser OR the fact that a patron voluntarily created it as part of a series on why he loves Topeka. It is really nicely done and even includes TechSoup friend Patti Butcher, from the State Library of Kansas!

Moving into the future while keeping the charm of the past

TechSoup for Libraries relies on experiences from libraries across the globe to inform our content, our webinars, and our work. Without you, librarians wouldn’t have an opportunity to learn from someone else’s experiences.

Refresher on Assistive Technologies for People with Vision Impairments

Kami Griffiths, my co-worker and training facilitator par excellence organized a Meetup last Friday at the San Francisco LightHouse for the Blind, which I was fortunate enough to attend. The presenters, Patty Quinonez and Shen Kuan were both power users of assistive technology themselves and experts at training others.

Win A Week with George and Joan

George Needham and Joan Frye Williams are two of my favorite library consultants, definitely in my Top 10. They are smart, witty, and know how to keep it real. They joined forces and began doing workshops, presentations, and even podcasts together a year ago. Now they have announced a contest! Win a free week-long consulting visit or workshops or coaching or whatever you can dream up for them to do (hey, they mention bartending!).
